Supplying superior textiles to the Australian Fashion Industry for over 25 years

Since change of ownership in 1996 the Harris family have evolved Sericin into a multi faceted textile supplier. Originally only a silk wholesaler the offerings have expanded to encompass silk, linen, cotton, semi synthetic fibres such as viscose as well as other quality synthetics. Whilst predominantly a woven fabric supplier, Sericin also offer a range of knitted print and plain designs.

We carry stock holdings across a number of traditional silk lines (Satin, Georgette, Habutae, Crepe De Chine, Faille, Organza, Dupion etc) as well as stock linens and bridal laces and tulle. We have gained a reputation as a supplier of quality digital printed products via exclusive relationships with industry leading mills in China, Korea and Turkey. The print service varies from mill offered stock designs to exclusive production of customers own designs with relatively low sampling and production minimums across a huge range of base cloth compositions and weights including but not limited to silk, linen, cotton, ramie, viscose, recycled polyester,  and many more.

Overwhelmingly our mission has always been to supply the best quality textiles in Australia. We spend countless hours operating quality control inspections at our warehouse and showroom based in Balcatta, WA. We strive to supply the best possible quality fabrics at wholesale industry competitive prices and feel that price should not be the final consideration when selecting fabrics. If quality is sacrificed due to price then it’s possible, if not probable, that the product will be unusable for it’s intended purpose. We firmly believe in this principle.

Over recent years, customer focus has evolved to include ethical and environmental criteria. Consequently, we have different ranges and products to meet that expectation. We pride ourselves on our mill relationships and as such we wouldn’t be operating with anyone who didn’t satisfy not only the changing expectations within the community but more importantly our own.

Please note;

We operate a traditional wholesale business model and cater for industry enquiries only. Whilst we do not offer direct to public sales, we can assist in suggesting a suitable retailer where possible. We believe this in part helps maintain the health and longevity of all segments within the Australian Fashion Industry ecosystem including but not limited to wholesalers, agents, retail fabric stores, coutures, vertical operated labels and large scale manufacturers.
